This is me at 10 or 11 years old, already dreaming of the day I’d get to put the pads on. After school most days, I’d head straight to “football practice,” where my love for the game truly began. Eight or nine years later, I was back on that same sled — this time as a freshman football player for the Division II Ouachita Baptist University Tigers.
